About Our Organization..........

The LOMA Society of Utah was organized in 1981 as the
FLMI Society of Utah under a charter from the Life
Office Management Association (LOMA), a non-profit
education services provider for the life insurance industry.
We are among a group of over 40 LOMA Societies
around the world. In 2004, we changed our name to
LOMA Society of Utah to comply with LOMA’s move to
serve a broader scope of financial services.

Financial service professionals qualify to join our
organization when they earn a LOMA designation. The
designations include: Fellow, Life Management Institute
(FLMI) designation, Fellow, Financial Services Institute
(FFSI), and ten specialty Associate designations. The
Society provides our members and associate members
with opportunities to interact with other financial services
professionals in the Utah area who share an interest in
continuing education and professional growth.

The LOMA Society of Utah has been recognized
nationally by LOMA with numerous Outstanding Society
Awards in the past eight years. Society membership
passed the 100 mark at the end of 2005. The Society
currently holds four general meetings and participates in
several community service events each year.
